Growing up in South Florida, I have found inspiration in the surreal, bizarre and kitsch. Florida's lush and subtropical climate and its brackish, marshy regions hold many truths at once. It is green and beautiful, it is dry and sticky, it is unbearably hot, it is always raining, it is holding onto something I can't put my finger on.
